Therapeutic Approach


My approach to psychotherapy is integrative as I apply cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and humanistic perspectives within a multicultural framework. 


I empower my clients by affirming their inner resources and highlighting their strengths. I will assist you in recognizing self-defeating patterns and challenge your negative core beliefs which result in emotional disturbances, health challenges and poor life outcomes. 


My style is very collaborative; the outcome of your treatment depends largely on your willingness to engage in this process. Reflecting on unpleasant events can bring up strong emotions. Allowing ourselves to experience and work through this is necessary in order for healing to occur.

I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and that you ultimately know what is best for you. I will collaborate with you on how to navigate life's challenges. I hope that you will allow me on your journey. 

Just as our physical needs are important, so are our holistic mental health and spiritual needs. We need to give equal attention to all parts of who we are.
